Pediatric Residency Presentation with Question and Answer Period
- Come out and hear first year residents, Chief Pediatric Resident Dr. Stefanie Narvey, and Dr. Eleanor MacDougall, Program Director for Pediatrics, speak about the Manitoba Pediatric Residency Program – Date Oct 29th, 2012 from 12-1 in Theater C
- There will be time for questions

Panel Discussion- Hypophosphatasia
- The PIG is excited to host an inter-disciplinary panel interview with a family and child their experience with hypophosphatasia (genetic disease)
- This will be a panel discussion where the family will tell their story and each member of the health care team will discuss their respective roles in the care of a child with hypophosphatasia – Date TBA

Bake Sale in Support of children’s charity and PIG
- Home baked goodies will be sold to fundraise for a local children’s charity and the PIG – Date TBA

Clerkship Information Session
- Lunch hour session devoted to providing students information about the Pediatric clerkship rotation. A question and answer period will be included. Students currently in clerkship will speak at the event regarding their experience of clerkship, specifically in the area of Pediatrics. – Date TBA

- An introduction to the Paediatric Interest group and the viewing of the an episode of "Rugrats" - October 28, 2010

- Come out and hear Dr. Meghan Cranston, Chief Pediatric Resident, and Dr. Eleanor MacDougall, Program Director for Pediatrics, speak about the Manitoba Pediatric Residency Program - December 5, 2011.
- This will be an informal discussion with LOTS of times for questions.

- This will be a panel discussion where the family will tell their story and each member of the health care team will discuss their respective roles in the care of a young child in NICU.

- An introduction to the Pediatric Interest Group and the viewing of the film "Babies" - November 2, 2010
- The event was a huge success with 108 people attending and 40 surveys were returned informing us of the great interest in pediatrics in our classes.

- A great presentation from a panel revealing the complexities of a career in pediatrics from many points of view - December, 13, 2010
- The event consisted of a panel discussing the care of a child during different significant events in there life (diagnosis, emergency crisis, and a more happy event) through the point of view of many pediatric professionals. The Hattons are a family with a 3 y/o boy living with glycogen storage disease. Joining them on the panel will be their pediatrician, Dr. Jeff Hyman, their genetic specialist, Dr. Cheryl Greenberg, their genetic counsellour, Jessica Hartley, their dietician, Dayna Weiten, their social worker,Cathy Farwell, and their ward/home care nurse, Jill Gunnlaughson.

- A presentation revealing what to expect in pediatric residency and what is offered by the U of M program.
- Special thanks Megan Cranston, Chief Resident, and her fellow residents for preparing us for residency, dispelling some of the myths of a career in pediatrics, promoting the incredible opportunity of a career in pediatrics and the unique training provided by U of M.

- A presentation demonstrating what is necessary to prepare for Residency in Manitoba and around the country.
- Thanks very much to Dr. Aaron Chiu and Dr. Jayson Stoffman for their insight into preparing ourselves for a future in paediatrics.

- Thank you to the representatives from each specialty for coming out for this event. Your participation provided us with insight, allowing us to appreciate the wide variety of opportunities within Pediatrics.
